"Hey Jude! What is Hawk and Lily?"
Driven by a love of nature and movement, I believe in encouraging everyone to find true bliss by learning how to thrive both on and off the mat through inner and outer strength-building activities. Mostly, I'm here to help make your dreams come true, because the more I can support you to live your purpose, the more you'll be able to inspire that in others and continue to grow it forward.
I often get asked what Hawk and Lily
means: the "Hawk" represents inner wisdom and power; the "Lily" connotes beauty and grace. Together, Hawk and Lily is a means to explore the essence of who you really are and reconnect to the joy you were born with. (Turns out, my Chinese name also means "Hawk" when pronounced in a different Mandarin intonation.)
Everything I share is based on firsthand experience. After overcoming a 15-year battle with multiple versions of eating disorders, I realized it was vital for me to learn how to play again in order to make life worth living. By being around friends who are truly passionate about what they love to do, I became inspired to discover this joy for myself and ultimately, rediscovered how to have fun again. And, play has brought me all the way to now live in beautiful Hawaii!
The best part about the journey towards healing is that we all have the power to be happy. Sometimes, it just takes a nice reminder, a spark of creativity, and a nudge of loving support to reconnect with one's innate joy. That's what Hawk and Lily aims to do — inspire every individual to define her or his own practice of living, to love life and thrive like never before.
With a personal yoga and healing practice that combines ongoing decades of spiritual learnings around the world, intuitive wisdom, and distinctly complementary Western and Eastern approaches, I infuse what I've learned from master teachers & personal experiences into Hawk and Lily.
Through soulful music, simple meditations, and a hearty amount of fun as we make your bliss come true, I welcome you to take a bit of time for yourself to be strong, wild and joyful. Come play with Hawk and Lily today!

What Folks Are Saying About Hawk and Lily…
"Practicing yoga and Reiki with Judy has provided me with a sense of peace I never knew before. Even though I am new to yoga, Judy's tailored one-on-one instruction helped me learn very quickly in a peaceful environment. As for Reiki, I have never experienced such relaxation and healing (and the feeling lasts!). Reiki is something everyone should be so blessed to experience."
“That was the first Yoga class I actually really liked!”
-Jordan Romero, Youngest Person to Summit Mount Everest
"My first contact with yoga was in 1999 as a professional snowboard athlete, it's what helped me find the axis of focus and concentration. After a serious accident, I had to stop my practice. In 2010, on a work trip, I met Judy through a friend. I had the incredible opportunity to practice in an arid place with a beautiful visual of Planalto in Brasilia. It was a great incentive to return to the practice. Judy's class is very inspiring for students on how to drive and generate personal insights. I'm in Brazil and she's in Kauai, yet today I'm practicing Ashtanga Yoga in South America and feel guided and inspired by Judy still. She's beautiful. I hope to someday play again, only this time on the beautiful island of Kauai. Thank you for the incredible experience! Namaste & Beijos."
-Juliana Vega, Newscaster, ESPN Brazil
“We did multiple private sessions with Judy just before a big multi-sport race in Brazil. She understood our personal needs and created class sessions that changed as the race approached. As an athlete with big time nerves, Judy helped me find a calm place so my nervous energy could be focused positively. Her healing Reiki hands also helped balance my energy gave me a before this 9-hour endurance race. At the start, I felt calm and confident, and I owe it to the Yoga and energy of Judy. By the way — I came in first place!”
-Karen Lundgren, Adventure Athlete
“Judy really knew how to take the best of us to create personalized classes that combined relaxation with a great core and flexibility workout that encourages focus on breathing and meditation. I totally recommend it to everybody, from athletes to business people, multiple times a week. And, the Reiki she gave was such a healing and peaceful energy that filled me with good vibes for more than a week after. What an amazingly reinvigorating and replenishing class!”
-Karina Oliani, Newscaster & Outdoor Medic

"Balance seems to be a word we hear about often, but something that seems to escape me just as often. My private yoga/Reiki session last week not only balanced me out, it relaxed and rejuvenated me, too. Thank you for your tender healing encouragement and readjustment. And, I passed on your name to friends within hours of leaving my treatment. You really do have a unique gift."
"Judy is an amazing yoga master for me. She recognizes and then teaches at my pace, at my stage of life, at my body's soul rhythm. I feel safe with her. She stretches me to go a bit further than I think I ever could go on my own, yet it feels as if I have a partner, allowing me to risk in ways my body will benefit. She is present with sound, touch, and scents."
